A couple holding hands and laughing as Andrew Alleyne leads their vows

Meet Andrew

A ceremony is not a formality. It is the first act of your marriage.

I have officiated ceremonies for more than a decade — in gardens, chapels, banquet halls, backyards, and luxury venues across Ontario. In that time I have learned that couples do not remember a perfect script. They remember whether the person at the front knew them.

So I ask real questions. I write your ceremony from scratch. I keep the room warm, the timing tight, and the moment yours. Professional enough that your planner relaxes, personal enough that your grandmother cries.

And as a pastor who has walked with couples long after the reception ends, I care about the marriage as much as the wedding.

How I serve couples

The ceremony, and the marriage after it.

Service one

Wedding officiating

A licensed Ontario officiant writing your ceremony from scratch — faith-based, lightly spiritual, or entirely non-religious. I handle the paperwork, the timing, and the room, so the two of you only have to be present.

  • Fully personalized ceremony script
  • Rehearsal attendance in most cases
  • Marriage registration filed with the province

Service two

Pre-marital counselling

I’m a certified SYMBIS facilitator (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts). Together we work through the conversations most couples don’t have until they’re already arguing — money, conflict, in-laws, intimacy, faith, and the expectations nobody said out loud.

  • SYMBIS assessment and personalized report
  • Sessions in person or online, at your pace
  • Available whether or not I’m officiating

Most couples I marry do both, and it changes the ceremony. By the time we get to the aisle, I’m not reading about your relationship — I already know it.

The ceremony experience

Simple from first email to “I do.”

  1. 01

    Discovery call

A relaxed conversation about your date, your venue, and what you want the day to feel like.

  2. 02

    Planning meeting

We shape the structure — readings, vows, family moments, cultural elements, and timing.

  3. 03

    Personalized ceremony

I write your ceremony and send it to you. You read every word before anyone else hears it.

  4. 04

    Wedding day

I arrive early, calm the room, hold the timing, and lead a ceremony that sounds like you.

  5. 05

    Marriage registration

I complete the officiant portion and submit your paperwork to the province, on time.

Frequently asked questions

Good questions, clear answers.

Where do you travel?

Toronto, Oshawa, Durham Region, and across the Greater Toronto Area. Destinations further out in Ontario are often possible — just ask.

Do you only officiate religious ceremonies?

No. I officiate faith-based, lightly spiritual, and entirely non-religious ceremonies. Your beliefs set the tone.

Can we write our own vows?

Absolutely. I provide prompts, structure, and honest feedback so your vows sound like you rather than a script.

Do you attend rehearsals?

In most cases, yes. We confirm this early based on your venue and timeline.

How does the legal paperwork work?

You obtain the marriage licence from your municipality. I complete the officiant portion, register the marriage, and submit it to the province.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on ceremony type, travel, and planning involvement. Send your date and I'll reply with a clear, itemized quote.

What is SYMBIS pre-marital counselling?

SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) is an assessment-based process I'm certified to facilitate. You each complete an assessment, then we work through your report together — communication, money, conflict, family, intimacy, and expectations. Available whether or not I'm officiating your wedding.

How customizable is the ceremony?

Fully. Every ceremony is written from scratch around your story, your family, and your culture.
